Firefighters say smoke was pouring out of a back wall. They only later found the cause.
At around 4 p.m. on April 18, 2025, North Little Rock fire crews responded to a commercial structure fire in the 3800 block of JFK Blvd. Engine 9 arrived to find smoke billowing from the building’s back wall. You can view video footage from the aftermath below.
Fire Was Found “Hidden Inside A Void Space”
Engine 9 quickly launched a fire attack to protect the interior space. Meanwhile, Engine 6 and Rescue 6 searched both floors thoroughly.
Finally, firefighters found the cause of the fire:
“Truck 7 and Engine 3 opened up the back wall and located fire hidden inside a void space.”
The coordinated efforts of all crews extinguished the fire promptly, with no injuries reported. Damage to the building was minimized.
