Get ready, drivers!
On April 1, 2025, the City of Conway, Arkansas, announced a new initiative for cyclists. The plan? To give bicyclists even MORE access to public roads. They will be installing signs saying “Bicycles May Use Full Lane” to specific streets. You can view a photograph of the new signs below. No vote will be held over allowing the changes.
Signs To Allow More Cyclists In The Road
They added on social media in the comment section, clarifying that no vote will be held over the decision, writing:
“We don’t hold elections for sign placement.”
New “Bicycles May Use Full Lane” signs are being installed along Country Club Road. The signs will span from Stermer Road to Dave Ward Drive.
Conway, known as the City of Colleges, is doing the change to allow more bicycles on public roads.
The announcement reflects Conway’s ongoing efforts to support alternative transportation. They encouraged drivers to be more inclusive to bicyclists on the road that was normally meant for driving cars.
Further details about the installation timeline were not provided. The city has not released additional updates on the project.
