It’s official.
Lake Area Weekly confirms that the Arkansas Corps of Engineers has signed a 3-year lease with the city of Fairfield Bay. The document was signed by Mayor Seth Connell and Arkansas Corps of Engineers Recreation Manager Kimberly Rae. The campground will now officially re-open on April 1st. Fairfield Bay Campground 3-Year Lease Officially Signed
In a statement released by Lake Area Weekly, Mayor Connell thanked the city council for their support:
“Special thanks to City Council members Patti Leitner, Roger Hooper, Bella Comas, Richard Matthews, Sandra Crowder, and Ruth Krotz for supporting the process and giving me the authority necessary to get this agreement signed.”
Recorder/Treasurer Rose Owen and City Attorney A.J. Kelly were also thanked for their speedy cooperation in meeting deadlines.
How To Purchase An Annual Pass
If you want to purchase an annual pass, Fairfield Bay will sell them at the city office from 10am until 2pm on Tuesday, April 8th and Tuesday, April 15th.
They will also be available at the Fairfield Bay Campground Welcome Hut.
