The team arrived quickly and was directed to the area where the man was last seen. Firefighters prepared their equipment to begin the search.

For over an hour, they flew drones above a wooded area near the last known location. The technology scanned the terrain below in the dark.

At approximately 9 p.m., the drones spotted the man in the woods. This allowed the team to pinpoint his exact position.

Guided by the drone footage, deputies reached the man and safely removed him from the dense forest. They navigated through the challenging landscape to bring him out.

Cold and wet, the elderly man was still alive despite the ordeal. He was immediately taken by ambulance for medical attention.

The Forrest City Fire Department’s quick response and use of drones saved a life that night. Their efforts proved critical in the successful rescue.
