Cave City, Arkansas, entered a state of emergency after severe storms hit Friday night, injuring five people and causing widespread power outages. Mayor Jonas Anderson announced the measure as the city grapples with the aftermath. You can view the aftermath photos below.
Five people were injured, with three requiring hospital transport, but all are expected to recover. A curfew is in place, and a command center has been set up at Cave City Fire and Rescue. The storm caused significant damage, especially along a line from the cemetery to the high school. Power infrastructure was heavily damaged, and city officials are asking residents to conserve water. Sharp County Sheriff Shane Russell encouraged volunteers to gather at the Cave City Middle School parking lot to assist with cleanup.

A tornado struck Stone County around 9:00 PM Friday, injuring two people and causing widespread property damage. No deaths have been reported, with Onia and Fifty Six bearing the brunt.
Emergency responders and road crews are clearing debris and aiding residents in Stone County. Sheriff Brandon Long highlighted the “heavy concentration” of damage in the hardest-hit areas.
In Butler County, one person died due to the storms, according to EMA Director Robbie Myers. A shelter has been opened at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff to support affected residents.
