It’s a case that continues to unfold…
Tiernan Savanna Hoyle, a 32-year-old caregiver from Bald Knob, was arrested on February 13, 2025, for allegedly failing to appear in court and other charges. She faces charges of exploiting an endangered or impaired person, a Class C felony as well.
Re-Arrest Made Over Failure To Appear
According to case files, Hoyle allegedly misused a Medicaid beneficiary’s debit card, leading to unauthorized charges totaling $577.96. The victim, identified only as V.S., suffers from chronic health issues requiring daily assistance.
The charges span from January 5 to February 24, 2023, and include purchases from T-Mobile and Google, along with bank overdraft fees. Hoyle had waived her Miranda rights during an investigation interview in June 2024, admitting to some charges but claiming they were accidental.
Despite Hoyle’s claim of repayment, V.S. denied receiving any personal restitution from Hoyle. The only compensation V.S. received came from Ozark Adult Personal Care (OAPC), Hoyle’s employer.
The case, which was initially opened by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in August 2023, underscores the vulnerability of impaired individuals to financial exploitation by caregivers. Hoyle’s bond is set, and she is due to appear in White County Circuit Court.
Please note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
