The Benton County Sheriff’s Office has noted a spike in copper wire thefts, particularly around Siloam Springs south of Highway 412 and into Adair County, Oklahoma.
Thieves are reportedly scaling power poles to cut and steal the cables, causing significant concern for local infrastructure.
