Cell Phone Data Leads To Heber Spring Man’s Arrest
The arrest occurred after Helm allegedly tampered with property and stole items valued at over $25,000.
He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
According to case files, key evidence included cell phone location data from Helm’s AT&T phone, placing him within 50 meters of the theft location at the time of the crime.
The stolen items included a 1990s model General Lee themed golf cart valued at $6,000 and an 18-foot black flatbed car hauler trailer worth $10,000, both taken from the residence of Calon Blackburn in Heber Springs.

Investigators uncovered that the theft was premeditated, as Ring camera (a security camera) footage from a nearby residence showed a white male suspect, later identified as Helm, allegedly, placing a band-aid over the security camera to obscure the view during the theft.
Further complicating the case, Helm implicated Dillon Goudy, who was subsequently arrested after admitting to driving Helm to the theft location and taking the items as payment for a previous favor. Security footage from Eden Isle confirmed the use of a dark SUV, matching Goudy’s Black Chevrolet Tahoe, in the theft.
This case underscores the use of modern technology in crime solving, with both cell phone data and security camera footage playing pivotal roles in identifying and tracking the suspects involved
Please note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
