He’s going to prison for 10 years.

On January 6, 2025, Weston Lane Pate, a 24-year-old white male, was sentenced in the Circuit Court of Cleburne County, Arkansas in Heber Springs. His crime? Targeting a child for explicit purposes.  He was 21 at the time of the crime.

20-Year-Old Sentenced In Crime Targeting Child

According to case documents, Pate was found guilty of engaging a child in explicit conduct, an offense that was committed on April 2, 2021.

Judge Tim Weaver presided over the case, with Drew E. Smith as the prosecuting attorney and Daniel Haney representing Pate.

Pate received a 120-month prison sentence in the Arkansas Department of Correction, with no probation or suspended sentence.

The sentence will run concurrently with his other charges, adhering strictly to sentencing guidelines without enhancement.

Pate was made fully aware of his sentence conditions and the repercussions of any violations.
