It was a smashing success that hits at the very heart of what Fairfield Bay is as a resort community.

Citizens of Fairfield Bay joined together for a common cause: To save the Fairfield Bay conference center deck by attending theĀ Festival of Trees, including a cookie sale and Santa Claus!

The “Festival of Trees” event was a smashing success. Hundreds of people lined up for food including cookies and chili. There was even a Christmas tree auction! A majority of the proceeds were raised for a brand new Fairfield Bay Conference Center deck. Thousands of dollars were reportedly raised. Final numbers have yet to be released. You can watch footage from the event below.

Huge Success At Fairfield Bay Conference Center

The special day was on December 6th. It featured a Christmas lighting ceremony outside the Fairfield Bay mall followed by a huge event inside the Fairfield Bay conference center.

Hundreds of people were lined up to get inside. The event lasted for many hours. There were hot and cold drinks, and boxes of cookies visitors could buy for $5. There were even carriage rides outside!

Dozens of Christmas trees were set up inside with beautiful lights and decorations of all different kinds.

Visitors could even walk across the street to Cobblestone Inn hotel and get adult beverages to celebrate the Christmas spirit.

The “Festival of Trees” was organized by by the Chamber of Commerce under Chamber Director Melinda Barnett’s leadership. A truly impressive outcome with lots of volunteers involved in bringing everything together.

New Deck Needed

The conference center deck is in bad need of repairs. Current estimates suggest it could cost over $30,000 to repair.

The funds raised at this event will go a long way toward fixing it. The success of the event shows how powerful it can be when a community chooses to come together with a common goal and purpose.
