Bodycam Footage Shows Man Begging For Help Before Dying In Custody
Newly released body-camera footage captures Perry Eaves Jr.’s desperate pleas for help outside the Forrest City Medical Center. Eaves begged officers not to let him die while visibly distressed and bleeding.
Despite his condition, the police did not take Eaves back into the hospital but instead handcuffed him and moved him to a patrol car. An officer insulted Eaves, who continued to seek medical attention, saying he was bleeding to death.
Eaves passed away shortly after at St. Francis County Jail. His family has since filed a lawsuit, alleging negligence and a lack of humanity by the involved officers.
