An exciting new academy groundbreaking is happening to promote law enforcement in Arkansas.
Today marked the groundbreaking of the new barracks for the Law Enforcement Training Academy at the Black River Technical College in Pocahontas, AR. It’s a place where cadets can go to learn how to serve the letter of the law better. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders attended and announced the groundbreaking of the new academy barracks that will house new cadets.
The new training academy barracks will house cadets that intend on pursuing careers in law enforcement.
New Police Training Academy Opening In Arkansas
Governor Sarah Sanders delivered the keynote address at the ceremony.
Additional speakers included Senator Blake Johnson and CLEST Director Chris Chapmond.
The event took place at Black River Technical College in Pocahontas, AR.

Graduates from the Law Enforcement Training Academy‘s Basic Police Training course are awarded:
- A CLEST certification.
- A technical certificate from BRTC in Law Enforcement Training, which can be used towards further academic credentials.
They also offer basic police training as well as options for veterans and current law enforcement.
