Police Find Drugs Inside House In Heber Springs

Officers responded to 437 East Moore St. reference squatters at a rent house.

The owner of the home, Mr Nicholas Steeves, told police that the previous renters had left the house. However, an unknown car was now in the parking lot. No one was supposed to be at the residence.

Police showed up. One of the officers stated:

“I knocked on the door and range the door bell with no answer.”

However, that’s when they noticed the keys didn’t work because the locks had been changed.

Mr. Madison Daffron answered the door. When asked why she was still there after no longer being a renter, she claimed that someone identified as “Bridget” had talked to the owner. The owner said this was not the case.

Worse, there were reportedly multiple people inside trespassing on the property.

An officer on the scene stated:

“I then informed Mrs. Daffron lets go in the house and get whoever else is inside and everyone needs to leave as they are trespassing.”

Mrs Daffron tried to stop the officer. So the officers then entered the building and cleared the residence for trespassers. They noticed two people playing video games with drugs in the room. They also found a firearm.

They found a shotgun in the car outside and multiple other firearms.

They found methamphetamine on the floor as well as other drugs. They also found someone consuming mushrooms as well

There was also a juvenile in the case whose name has been redacted from the report.

Daffron was charged with the following charges:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl.
  • Procession of a SCH.V1 controlled substance (Marijuana).
  • Maintaining a drug premises.
  • Criminal trespass.

All charges are felonies, except the last one, which is a class B misdemeanor.
