Early this morning, a tragic incident unfolded when a pedestrian was fatally struck by a pick-up truck on Dollarway Road.
Police arrived at the scene around 5:14 a.m., where they found the pedestrian unresponsive and later confirmed deceased.
The driver involved in the accident stayed and is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until family is notified.
