A truck driver was killed following a horrifying car crash in Arkansas.
An emergency helicopter airlifted the driver from the accident scene in Poinsett County. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Arkansas State Police released the following details.
Helicopter Called In To Airlift Truck Driver After Accident
William Burgess Jr., 49, from Trumann, Arkansas, perished following a tragic accident on November 19th.
Driving a Freightliner, Burgess was heading west on State Highway 14 near Waldenburg at 11:34 am.
Burgess reportedly failed to negotiate a curve, leading to a catastrophic rollover.
The vehicle’s load spilled across the highway, blocking traffic.
Emergency responders called in a helicopter, to transport Burgess from the scene.
Burgess was airlifted to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis for emergency care. However, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
