An arrest has been made after someone allegedly set fire to a Dollar General store in Arkansas.
Stephanie Cash of Harrison was arrested on November 21, 2024, by the Harrison Fire Marshal’s Office and Harrison Police Department’s Warrant Officer on charges of arson and aggravated assault.
The arrest follows an investigation into a fire at the downtown Dollar General on September 28.
Chief Fire Marshal/Fire Chief Marc Lowery stated that all structure fires in Harrison are investigated to ascertain their cause and origin.
Following a detailed examination, the fire at Dollar General was determined to be intentionally set, leading to the charges against Cash.
Lowery emphasized the dangers of arson, noting its impact on public safety, firefighter risk, and insurance rates.
Cash was booked into custody and later released after posting a $25,000 bond.
