A serious update has been released by the Jacksonville Police Department after shots were reportedly fired.

Police were recently conducting a search for 2 suspects after a man was left dead with a gunshot to the abdomen. Now 3 young teenage boys have been linked to the shooting according to police. Two are 14 and one is 13 years old.

Suspects In Arkansas Shooting Are 13 and 14 Years Old

Police have released an update on Facebook.

On October 17, 2024, police identified and charged three teenage boys in connection with a shooting at Pike and Cross the previous day. The suspects, two 14-year-olds and one 13-year-old, were involved in an incident that shook the local community.

Two of the teens are being charged as adults with first-degree battery, reflecting the severity of the crime. The third teenager faces juvenile charges for the same offense.

The day previous tot the arrest, on October 16th, police responded to a shooting at Pike Ave. and Cross St. A 52-year-old man was found shot in the abdomen.

The victim is currently in the hospital.
