School officials are not happy in Mountain View, Arkansas.
A very disappointing flooring project in the Mountain View School District has left administrators “without options” after they spent over $100,000 for the results. School administrators called an emergency meeting to save some of the money after the project reportedly went bust.
Mountain View School Administration Floored By Bad Project
They have reportedly had an emergency meeting with the contractor last week. They wanted to recover at least a few thousand dollars out of the project so that at least some of the funds were saved.
The board had approved a contract with a concrete company to remove ceramic tile from the Mountain View High School and Middle School.
Unfortunately, the project met with unexpected problems. They found several layers of flooring they didn’t expect to remove and several areas of concrete that were never expected to be removed.
The project, that was originally only supposed to cost $84,000 then ended up costing $110,000.
Hopefully, the issue will soon be resolved and a new source of flooring work can be found.
