Lawsuit Filed Over Donut Factory Injuries

A Central Arkansas man, Larry Campbell, has initiated a lawsuit against J.M. Smucker Co. following a workplace incident where he fell from a platform. The accident occurred at the Hostess plant in Gum Springs, where Campbell was working on October 4, 2023.

Campbell, from Pulaski County, alleges that he plummeted 12 feet through a hole in the platform, which was part of ongoing renovations. His company, Campbell Sheet Metal, was contracted for work at the site, previously a Danfoss factory being converted into a bakery.

The lawsuit was filed in Clark County Circuit Court on September 30, 2024, naming Smucker Retail Foods Inc. as the defendant. Campbell seeks damages for his injuries sustained from the fall.
