Plans to bring two stars from “Shark Tank” to Searcy, Arkansas have reportedly been scrapped.

It was recently reported that an advertising and promotions tax that would’ve been used to bring Shark Tank star Daymond John and Kevin Harrington to a 3 day event in Searcy, Arkansas. Now sources close to the negotiations say all plans are off.

“Shark Tank” Plans Reportedly Axed

It all started when someone named JC Hite made an official request for $65,000 in advertising and promotions tax in Searcy to bring a “very large business conference” to Fairfield Bay.

According to Hite, if the tax could be approved, then it would go to bringing Daymond John to Searcy. Kevin Harrington was already booked for the event:

”We’re looking right now at bringing in John Maxwell and Daymond John from ‘Shark Tank,’” Hite said. “We’ve got Kevin Harrington from ‘Shark Tank.’ If you know the TV show, ‘The Chosen;’ the owner of ‘The Chosen’ – there’s two owners, Dallas Jenkins and Darryl Eaves – we have him coming as well.”

Hite had previously been looking to host the special conference in Dallas or Las Vegas. But he was considering bringing it to Searcy if the deal could be struck.

A Long History Of Events

JC Hite and his wife, Karen, run a digital agency called The Hites.

They already have an event scheduled this year called The Commitment Summit for 2024. They say the event is “an immersive and transformative conference for digital marketing agency owners committed to personal and professional growth.”

They have interviewed high profile figures like “Duck Dynasty” stars Willie and Korie Robertson.
