In Judsonia, a construction mishap led to a significant water main rupture when a crew accidentally struck a 10-inch water line, as reported by Justin Jones, the Superintendent of Judsonia Water & Sewer.
Local Daily Citizen reporter Greg Geary investigated what happened to get more details about the story. He reached out to Judsonia Water & Sewer Superintendent Justin Jones to confirm that the water line was in fact broken around 4 or 5 o’clock in the evening.
The incident occurred on September 4th around late afternoon, necessitating an immediate shutdown of the water supply for emergency repairs.
Boil Order Lifted After Water Contamination Issue Fixed
Following the rupture, a boil water advisory was issued for the safety of residents, effective from the early morning of September 5th.
The community was without normal water service for several days, with the advisory finally being lifted on September 9th, marking the end of a challenging period for local residents.
