A heartbreaking story out of Crossett, Arkansas.
An Arkansas man died in a tragic house fire on September 19th. The fire broke out early in the morning. Although multiple fire departments responded, the man wasn’t able to get out.
2 Fire Departments Responded To The Scene
Multiple Fire Departments responded to the call. The North Crossett Fire Department and the Crossett Fire Department both arrived at the scene.
Sadly, they were too late.
Stephen Walley, only 57, passed away during the incident.

The news first appeared on a Facebook group called Crossett High School 1987 Class:
“Friends, sadly we lost Stephen Walley early this morning in a house fire. He wasn’t able to get out. Prayers for his family.”

A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23rd.
Stephen was described by his family as someone with a “heart of gold and was always ready with a joke, especially “Dad” jokes-the one-liners that always brought laughter to those around him.”
