Searcy firefighters will soon work in safer environments thanks to a federal grant of over $141,000 from the Department of Homeland Security. In partnership with the U.S. Fire Administration, this grant will be used to upgrade the city’s three fire stations by installing Coursé Captures exhaust systems. These systems will prevent diesel fumes from contaminating the parking bay areas and entering the living and sleeping quarters of each station.
