In Ash Flat, the community is coming together to support Meacham’s Family Restaurant, which may be facing closure. The restaurant has been a staple in Sharp County for over 45 years. Owner Alix Meacham recently shared a TikTok video detailing the restaurant’s struggles. Meacham, who moved back to Ash Flat from Jonesboro to help her family and took over the restaurant after their passing, revealed that despite being operational in 2022, the current financial situation is dire, with the business now in the negative. She noted that last week they exhausted their last penny. Since the social media post, support has been pouring in, helping the restaurant to start trending back in the right direction. Meacham remains hopeful and determined, saying they are not ready to give up.
