The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Greers Ferry Lake and Little Red River Tourism Association have scheduled the 55th annual cleanup for September 7th.
To encourage participation, the daily use fee will be waived for all volunteers. Trash bags and cleanup supplies can be collected at various locations including Choctaw, Sugarloaf, Narrows, Devils Fork, Shiloh, Cove Creek, JFK, Old 25, Dam Site, and Heber Springs Park from 8 AM to noon.
Participants should dispose of bagged trash in any park dumpster.
Volunteers are asked to report their location to the Greers Ferry Lake Project Office at 501-362-2416. The Corps also advises wearing life jackets while on or near the water.
