Austin has a new police chief: Glen Cook, who recently assumed the role and brings over 40 years of law enforcement experience to the position. Cook steps in following the retirement of former Chief Rick Anderson in July. His extensive background includes eight years with the North Little Rock Police Department, where he advanced from detective to SWAT team member. Additionally, Cook has served as an ATF agent and worked as an investigator for the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office.
