Attorney General Tim Griffin has announced the arrest of a Jacksonville man on child pornography charges. The man, 22-year-old Xavier Antonio Simmons, was arrested on 150 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing material depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.

Griffin stated that a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, relayed through the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, led to the search warrant executed at Simmons’ home on Monday by special agents from his office’s Special Investigations Division, with assistance from the Jacksonville Police Department.

Griffin emphasized the importance of teamwork in protecting children from exploitation. Simmons was booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center and is currently being held without bond.
