Arkansas Attorney General Issues “Cease And Desist” Letter Over Abortion Pills

, , Comments Off on Arkansas Attorney General Issues “Cease And Desist” Letter Over Abortion Pills

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin has sent cease and desist letters to two out-of-state companies advertising abortion pill access. He is ordering the companies to stop advertising in Arkansas, citing violations of the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act related to abortion pill marketing and sales.

The companies receiving the letters are Choices Women’s Medical Center, Inc. of New York and Aid Access of the Netherlands. Griffin stated that abortions are prohibited in Arkansas except under very limited circumstances.

As a result, abortion pills may not be legally shipped to or brought into the state for use by Arkansans.
