Arkansas Attorney General “Considering All Options” After Judge Rules Against Arkansas In Gun Legal Battle

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin isn’t happy.

According to Arkansas Advocate, U.S. District Judge James Moody dismissed a lawsuit by Arkansas against the federal government that violates the 2nd amendment. Why? Because Arkansas allegedly has “no standing.” As a result, Griffin said he was “disappointed” and “considering all options” after the shocking ruling.

Arkansas sued the Biden administration after it unveiled a new rule targeting gun collectors at gun shows, preventing private traders from buying and selling without federal involvement.

Controversial Gun Case Transferred to Kansas

Moody’s order on Thursday says without a plaintiff in the district or alleged harm from the law, Arkansas had no standing to sue in the state’s Eastern District. As a result, the case has been transferred to Kansas where alleged wrongdoing has been alleged. We reported recently that the Attorney General of Kansas said the controversial gun rule was invented “out of thin air.”

Attorney General Tim Griffin released the following statement after Judge Moody’s decision:

“I am disappointed by the court’s ruling and considering all options.”

Tim Griffin further states that this new gun law is an attempt to bypass congress during an election year:

“[It’s a] combination of election year politics, of frustration [and] not getting what you want through Congress that would do it another way.”
