Another prisoner has died in an Arkansas prison.
According to the Arkansas Times, a prisoner at Varner Supermax Unit in Lincoln County was pronounced dead yesterday. He was found hanging in his jail cell. Officials are calling it a suicide.

The latest death represents the 6th Arkansas prisoner to die by alleged “suicide” in just 2024 alone. We are only 4 months into the year!
A security guard during the alleged hanging said that he heard Ferry-Payne’s cellmate shouting for help when he found the prisoner was already on the floor. The cellmate said he was asleep when he woke up to find the body just hanging there.
Emergency life-saving efforts did not work.
