Train Derails In Hope Arkansas
Hope Police Department says that officers were called in to help clean the area after a train derailed in the city blocking multiple streets. However, their communication was unclear.
First, the police department claimed the following streets were blocked:
- 2nd Street.
- 3rd Street.
- 5th Street.
- 6th Street.
- 8th Street.
- North-South Crossing at Elm Street.
- North-South Crossing at Hazel Street.
Then they clarified the closings included only the crossings at Division and 2nd Streets. So it’s entirely clear the extent of the damage or how much property was lost.
Not The First Time
In fact, it’s not the first time Hope, Arkansas has had a train derailment.
Just last June, a train derailed in the same city.
