It looks like Asa Hutchinson might have new career plans.
According to the Arkansas Times, former governor Asa Hutchinson is looking into becoming the president of University of Arkansas System. The new presidential ambitions come after Asa Hutchinson dropped out of the 2024 Republican presidential primary.
A Career Change For Asa Hutchinson?
University of Arkansas System trustee Sheffield Nelson has reportedly stated that he received a phone call from Asa Hutchinson inquiring about the job:
“He called me to say he’s thinking about it.â€
However, it’s certainly not a done deal. In fact, it’s not known how the University board would vote over such a decision. But Nelson was very positive:
“I think Asa’s got a great background. I think he’d be a good one to talk to…â€
Asa Hutchinson Takes Balanced Approach To 2024
The news comes after Asa Hutchinson made it very clear that he doesn’t intend to endorse either a Democrat or Republican in 2024 for president.
