Just four years ago, gas was cheap.
Not anymore.
According to a new report from KARK, residents are seeing gas prices spike all around Arkansas. Not only are prices spiking, but self-described “experts” at AAA say more hikes are coming.Â
Gas Prices Are Spiking In Arkansas
Jennifer Ciriez from Chicago reportedly stated that she was shocked to find gas going for almost $4 per gallon in some parts of the state. She was surprised:
“I wasn’t expecting for it to be almost $4.â€
Another traveler headed to Memphis was surprised to see gas prices going up as well. He said he didn’t understand why they would be going up considering current market conditions:
“I really don’t see the reason for the price hike.â€
“Experts” Predict Higher Prices Still
Experts with AAA say that gas prices are going to go up.
In fact, the travel group’s data shows a national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.41. “Spring Break” is being blamed for the new rise in prices as people like to travel.
