Mother of an accident victim pleads for people to pay more attention while driving after he son passes away after tragic accident.

Hunter Casper, a 28-year-old, has been in a coma for nearly a month after being hit by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter in Cabot, Arkansas, on August 6.

Despite the scooter having safety features like headlights and taillights, the driver did not see him, and the road lacked sidewalks and shoulders.

Hunter was not immediately identified at the scene due to the absence of his wallet, but police eventually contacted his family through his work uniform.

After the accident, Hunter underwent three major brain surgeries but remained in a coma.

On a recent Monday, his family gathered to say goodbye as he was taken off life support to see if he could breathe independently.

Sadly, Hunter passed away that afternoon. His mother, Christina Casper-Mccoy, is advocating for better awareness and safety measures for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists to prevent similar tragedies.
