On April 16, 2025, Pine Bluff Police Department say a theft reportedly occurred at Bethany Chapel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The incident reportedly took place at 1923 South Olive Street around 3:09 a.m. You can view video footage released of the alleged suspect below.
Police Say Bike Suspect Targeted A Church
The Pine Bluff Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect captured on video. The individual is suspected of stealing copper pipes from the church’s air conditioning unit.
Police say the suspect is described as a male wearing a black North Face hoodie, grey sweatpants, white tennis shoes, and riding a red bicycle. The theft caused approximately $1,200 in damages to the A/C system.
Police say the stolen items include both large and small copper pipes, visibly removed from the unit. The suspect faces charges of Theft of Property and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.
Police urge anyone with information to contact Pine Bluff Police Dispatch at (870) 541-5300 or the Detective Office at (870) 730-2090. Anonymous tips can also be submitted at pbpd.org.
The department thanks the community for their support in helping to prevent further property damage. Identifying the suspect could bring justice for the church and surrounding area.
