On March 27, 2025, Shane Allen Gilbert, 24, was arrested in Mountain View, Arkansas, on a rape charge. The arrest followed an investigation by the Stone County Sheriff’s Office. Mountain View Arkansas Man Arrested On Rape Charge
According to case files, authorities allege that Gilbert engaged in criminal inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old girl, around February 1, 2025.
The alleged victim’s father reportedly caught his daughter leaving Gilbert’s camper on two occasions in February.
Gilbert allegedly refused to speak with detectives when asked to provide his side of the story. A warrant for his arrest was issued based on the evidence gathered.
The charge stems from Arkansas law, which states that sexual intercourse with someone under 14 is rape, a Class Y felony. Gilbert’s date of birth is listed as December 8, 2000.
The case, filed on March 27, 2025, in Stone County Circuit Court, remains under investigation. Further details have not been released at this time.
