On February 22, 2025, Samantha J. Solley, 53, from Conway, Arkansas allegedly set fire to a gray Mazda truck owned by Linda Killough in Faulkner County, Arkansas. The incident occurred on Gold Mine Springs Road, where authorities responded to an arson call. She was finally arrested on February 22nd, 2025.
Solley faces charges of Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Operations, and Arson. The incident has led to her detention as legal proceedings begin.
Woman Accused Of Arson During Alleged Drug-Fueled Rampage
According to case files, when police arrived, Solley refused to comply with orders and physically resisted arrest. During the struggle, Solley’s dog bit an officer, who was then forced to deployed a weapon to stop the attack.
Solley faces charges of Arson (C Felony), Interference with a Law Enforcement Officer (C Felony), and Resisting Arrest (A Misdemeanor). She reportedly has a history of four or more prior felonies, classifying her as a habitual offender.
The alleged victims, Linda Killough and Andrew Mazure, told police they were friends trying to assist Solley, who had been staying in a tent on their property. They suspected she was under the influence of methamphetamines, prompting a search of her living area.
The officer sustained an elbow injury from the dog bite and required hospital treatment. Firefighters extinguished the blaze of the car, valued at $2,000-$2,500, after Solley was subdued and arrested.
An affidavit for a warrant of arrest was filed on February 26, 2025, in Faulkner County Circuit Court. A judge reportedly found probable cause acceptable.
