An arrest has been made after what a 4th grader found in their shirt.
Huntsville Police Department have revealed that a 4th grader’s father turned himself in for arrest after their child found a mysterious bag that later turned out to be methamphetamine while at school. The child had put their father’s shirt on and found the substance.
Police Make Arrest After What Student Finds Inside Shirt
On October 31, 2024, Principal Kaela Hawkins of Huntsville Intermediate School contacted Sgt. Melton concerning a suspicious small plastic bag.
The substance, believed to be methamphetamine, was found in the shirt pocket of 4th grader JM during class.
JM discovered the bag after wearing his father’s shirt to school and immediately reported it to his teacher.
Sgt. Melton confirmed the substance’s consistency with methamphetamine, weighing 8.4 grams, and took possession of it.
