You may have been the victim of deceptive advertising in Arkansas.

According to Arkansas Advocate, the state of Arkansas has reached a $104,000 settlement after AT&T, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless may have misled and lied to customers about “unlimited data” plans in 2016 advertisements.

Settlement Reached With Wireless Carriers

In 2016, wireless carriers supposedly misled customers about unlimited data, free phone offers, and bonuses for changing networks. They were investigated by Attorneys General in a whopping 50 states and District of Columbia.

Attorney General Tim Griffin announced Arkansas’ share of the lawsuit in a statement to the public:

“It is imperative that wireless companies are straightforward and honest in their advertising practices…”

Settlements with the networks were as the following:

  • T-Mobile: $49,017.14.
  • Verizon: $30,125.14.
  • AT&T: $25,104.28.
