Officials just shut them down!
According to Channel 3 News, the police department of a city in Arkansas has been declared “inactive” and removed from service. The department was shut down for not being in compliance with training standards.
Hughes Police Department Shut Down By Officials
Cindy Murphy, the Communications Director at the Arkansas Department of Public Safety has confirmed that the Huges Police Department in Hughes, Arkansas has been removed from service.
This usually happens when a police department hasn’t been active for at least 6 months. The scandal comes just one week after the former Police Chief if the city got into an altercation with the mayor of the city.
Sadly, we cannot confirm at this time if the altercation is connected to the police department getting shut down.
