Thunder on Thunderbird 2026 Celebrates Independence Day In Cherokee Village Arkansas

Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Independence Day at the annual Thunder on Thunderbird event on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Cherokee Village.
The day begins at 6:30 a.m. with a Cherokee Village Fire Department Pancake Breakfast at the Baseheart Fire Station. Activities continue from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. with the Spring River Farmers Market at the Cherokee Village Town Center.
Throughout the afternoon, food trucks will be available at Lake Thunderbird Marina for families and visitors enjoying the holiday on the lake.
The highlight of the celebration begins at 7 p.m. with the Patriotic Boat Parade on Lake Thunderbird, showcasing decorated boats in a festive display of American pride.
The evening concludes with a fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m., lighting up the sky above Lake Thunderbird as the community gathers to celebrate the nation’s birthday.
Organizers encourage residents and visitors from across north-central Arkansas to spend the day enjoying food, family fun, and patriotic festivities in Cherokee Village.
