2026 Polar Plunge Arkansas Events Raise Thousands for Special Olympics Athletes

The 2026 Polar Plunge Arkansas events this past weekend made a big splash across the state, raising thousands of dollars to support Special Olympics Arkansas athletes.

 

In Searcy, the 2026 Polar Plunge at the Searcy Swim Center raised a total of 11,308 dollars. The Searcy Police Department team raised nearly 3,000 dollars,

while the Cabot Police Department won Best Costume honors and raised over 2,000 dollars for Special Olympics athletes.

At Woolly Hollow State Park, the 2026 Greenbrier Polar Plunge raised more than 10,000 dollars. The Conway Police Department earned the Team Most Money Raised Award after collecting over 2,000 dollars.

Clinton High School Unified Special Olympics followed closely behind, raising more than 1,700 dollars.

Max was recognized as the Individual Most Money Raised, collecting 800 dollars. Organizers noted that contributions over the last 3 years have made a lasting impact on Special Olympics athletes statewide.

February 24 in Jonesboro

February 26 in Mountain View

February 28 in Batesville

February 28 in Mountain Home

February 28 in Pine Bluff

Organizers thanked partners and volunteers including Alpha Sigma Alpha, JR Runyon, Kohl’s, Woolly Hollow State Park, and Searcy Parks and Recreation.

The Polar Plunge continues to provide critical funding for Special Olympics Arkansas programs that empower athletes through training, competition, and community engagement.
