Storm debris could make fireworks even more dangerous than usual.

According to 4029TV, fire department officials say that recent storm damage in Arkansas could lead to fire hazards in fireworks launches. Because debris left over from the storms are drying out and creating fire risks.

Fire Risk Reported After Arkansas Storms Ahead Of Holiday

The Bentonville Fire Department is warning residents that debris still scattered from a recent series of storms on Memorial Day could impact firework safety this holiday.

Bentonville Fire Department Battalion Chief Zeke Spence issued the following statement:

“Those piles of debris are dry and they’re drying out. You want to make sure that you stay a safe distance from that.”

Pay close attention and be extra cautious while launching fireworks this year.
