The Supreme Court of Arkansas just declared a state law unconstitutional!

According to The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the Arkansas Supreme Court ruled that Judge Barry Hyde acted within his authority in 2022 when he eliminated probation officer positions in the 6th Judicial Circuit.

Court Ruling Revealed

Hyde argued that a state law requiring Pulaski County to fund these positions was unconstitutional. He announced the county would stop funding them.

Judges Wendell Griffen Jr. and LaTonya Honorable filed a petition in December 2022. They wanted Hyde to fill the vacant positions as budgeted for 2023
