New data shows Arkansas has the third-highest rate of people who have been married.
According to Axios, more people in Arkansas are getting married than most U.S. states. But just because you can rush into something doesn’t mean you should. Arkansas also leads the rest of the U.S. in highest percentages of divorces.

However, the state’s divorce rate in 2022 was much higher than the national average. Arkansas had 11.5 divorces per 1,000 residents aged 15 and older, compared to the national rate of 6.9.
By the numbers, 33.29% of Arkansans aged 15 and up are married or have been married. Only Wyoming and Idaho have higher rates, with 34.60% and 34.26%, respectively.
