Ladder 6 and Engine 5 arrived on the scene almost simultaneously. Ladder 6 got there first, stretching the line for the fire attack, while Engine 5 began a search.
Ladder 6 quickly headed upstairs, achieving a rapid knockdown of the fire. Meanwhile, Engine 5 searched the lower level for reported family pets.
Engine 5 located all the pets downstairs and safely extricated them. No injuries were reported among the occupants or the rescued animals.
The helmet cam footage, recorded by Engine 5’s captain, highlights the teamwork involved. Ladder 6, Engine 5, and other units arriving shortly after were praised for their efforts.
