Man Accused Of Forgery Targeting 82-Year-Old With Dementia
According to case files, Grigsby is accused of stealing checks an 82-year-old woman with dementia. Her brother, Jim Reynolds, reported the theft after discovering unauthorized checks totaling $590.
Authorities say Grigsby forged three checks—$170, $100, and $175—cashed in January 2024. Each act is charged as second-degree forgery, a Class C felony.
Grigsby also faces a misdemeanor for retaining stolen property valued under $1,000. Evidence includes text messages where he promised to repay Reynolds but failed to follow through.
Reynolds claims Grigsby maxed out Cost’s Lowe’s credit card for $7,500. However, investigators couldn’t confirm this due to missing video footage from Lowe’s.
Grigsby was arrested on March 21, 2025, according to Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office. He’s now held on charges including parole violation, forgery, and theft.
Grigsby’s original court appearance is scheduled for April 14, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. He remains in custody, with prior attempts to locate him in Conway and Russellville reportedly unsuccessful.
