He’s being held in White County, Arkansas.

Angel Barragan Magana, a 48-year-old man from New Holland, was arrested early Thursday, January 30, 2025. He’s accused of grooming a child in White County of whom he was reportedly the guardian. An investigation found that he also fathered a child with a 17-year-old in Mexico as well. You can view his mugshot below provided by White County Sheriff’s Office.

Man Held On $250,000 Bond In White County

According to case files, Angel Barragan Magana, now residing in New Holland, PA, faces charges of rape in White County, Arkansas.

The allegations stem from the repeated sexual abuse of a minor over several years, as disclosed by the victim during a forensic interview.

The abuse reportedly occurred between March 29, 2016, and March 29, 2019, when the victim was aged 11 to 14.

During an interview with law enforcement, an officer reported the suspect only remembered being intoxicated and walking into the suspect’s room in his underwear:

“He admitted that there was one occasion that he was intoxicated and entered the victim’s room wearing only his underwear. He stated that he did not recall what occurred after that.”

The officer reported that the suspect admitted to having married a 17-year-old in Mexico as well:

“He also admitted to having married a 17-year-old girl in Mexico and fathering a child with her while he was in his 30’s…”

A warrant for his arrest on charges of Rape, a Class Y Felony, has been issued following the investigation by White County Sheriff’s Department and New Holland Police.

He is currently held on a $250,000 bond.

Magana’s court appearance is scheduled for March 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM
