A neighbor initially took in the dogs but later informed Jak’s Second Chance Rescue Ranch he couldn’t care for them long-term.
On January 4, Sheriff John Staley interviewed Patrick Swearingen, who surrendered ownership of the dogs to the Sheriff’s Office.
The dogs are in good health but will need veterinary care; interested adopters should contact Jak’s Second Chance Rescue Ranch or email Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office at info@lonokeso.com.
Sheriff Staley emphasized community responsibility in animal welfare, thanking his team and Jak’s Second Chance Rescue Ranch for their efforts in rehoming the dogs.
Your help spreading the word would be greatly appreciated, according to officials involved in the case.
