Residents were lucky to get out after a fire broke out early in the morning.
Wedington Fire Department announced publicly that it was alerted to a structure fire at 5:34 a.m. in Wedington Woods. Upon arrival, Engine 1 discovered a shed ablaze with the fire spreading to the house. You can view photos from the scene below.
Arkansas Family Made It Safe Out Of Burning Home Before Firefighters Arrived
It was an early morning fire. Thankfully, everyone exited safely.
Assistance came from Wheeler, Fayetteville, and Farmington Fire Departments, along with Central EMS.
The quick response and cooperation between departments were crucial on New Year’s Day. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.
Thankfully, firefighters on the scene were able to save half of the house and the contents in the house before a total loss could occur.
